My Sister-In-Laws Home Library

I definitely had a good time at my sister-in-laws place. It may have been such a short holiday but it had somehow revived and relaxed me. I wish we could visit their place again anytime this week. I just love everything about their place. I love their garden. Her mom has various collection of orchids which I have never seen before. She also have several herbs and spices planted on window boxes which adorns their windows. Aside from their garden, I also spent most of my time in their library. They have a huge collection of garden books, encyclopedias, and novels. In fact, she lent me a couple of her garden books. She must have took pity of me after I mentioned how many times I failed trying to grow a single plant before.

One of the garden books she lent me is Window Boxes Indoors & Out. This great book will definitely help me in my gardening. It has information on how to grow different types of plant and when and where is the perfect time to grow it. It also include several tips on how to properly care for plants especially the ones planted in the container. Had I read this garden book  before, none of the plants I had planted would have "died" in my hands. In addition, this book is also entertaining. It contains a lot of colorful photographs of the different plants. Even my two year old niece love it.

I know I had a lot to learn about gardening. I need to read several gardening books so no plants would die in my hands ever. This book gave me an inspiration to have my own collection of outdoor and indoor plants. Fortunately, my sister-in-law's mom is willing to give me some of her plants especially the orchids. I could not wait for our next visit.

Gardening Books For Newbies And Brown Thumbs

Growing and keeping a plant alive can be hard for any newbies and brown thumbs like me. Without the assistance of the people around me, I do not think I would be able to grow my own garden and keep them alive for a long time. They are the reasons why the plants in our backyard are growing healthily. They are the ones who are giving me good advices on how to grow the plants in the garden. It is just unfortunate, that they left me on my own. They said I am already good in handling the plants in the yard and I can manage the garden without their assistance anymore. But no matter how they assure me that I can handle everything in the garden, I am still not confident.

Knowing how they doted on the plants on the yard, I did everything I could to make them help me once again. I even blackmailed them that the plants will die in my care without their assistance. But they kept their ground in letting me take care of everything in the yard. Somehow they took pity on me by leaving me several books about gardening and plants. The gardening books which they gave me include Gardening For Dummies®, Square Foot Gardening, Gardening from Scratch, and American Horticultural Society A-Z Encyclopedia of Garden Plants.

The gardening books which they gave me are informational. They are great books for newbies and experts alike. The books include all the basic information needed for a newbie like me.  It also includes some gardening tips on how to properly care for the plants especially The American Horticultural Society A-Z Encyclopedia of Garden Plants. This particular gardening book includes all the plants I could think of. It also includes colorful illustrations of the different plants with their names, descriptions, habitat, and geographical origin. But what I like best about this gardening book is that it provides some advice on what to do about the pests and diseases of the plants. With these gardening books in my hands, I hope that I will be able keep these plants alive and healthy.

Gardening Books As A Gift

Have you done your holiday shopping? If not then perhaps it is time that you should. Christmas is just around the corner. It is better to do your shopping early to avoid the busy streets and the crowd. I am not am done with my shopping as well but I planning to do it online since I always find it less stressful and tiresome. There is no need for me to squeeze in the crowd, or waste some gas by going to the stores. Well, I know there are certain advantages and disadvantages to shop online as well as going to the store yourself. It is just that, I always find the web friendlier compared to the sales clerks on the store. Moreover it is also convenient. As an online shopper myself, I am grateful that more store owners are bringing their goods or products online. I can make my reservations early especially when I am planning to give gardening books as a present to my family members and friends. I heard that these books sell like hot potatoes among gardening enthusiasts.

I have a huge collection of gardening books my self. I purchased some books online a few years back some are presents from my family and friends who are concerned about the well-being of whichever plant I tried growing. They are quite helpful especially to the beginners. These gardening books have greatly helped my mom grow her own garden as well. These books include plant care tips, new gardening ideas and what is there to know about plants. It is also quite engaging to plant lovers and garden enthusiasts.

Books as gifts are perfect for all ages. I have been giving them as gifts instead of expensive gadgets or toys for several years now. Books such as Container Gardening and The A-Z Encyclopedia for Garden Plants give useful information about plants which can be used in your garden and plant care. Beginner or nor, these books are nothing but perfect.
